Kimberly Green, RN

Assistant Director of Health

Kim was born and raised in Victoria, graduating from Victoria High School in 1987 before earning her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from the Victoria College Nursing Program. She obtained her RN license in 1990 and went on to dedicate 21 years of service at Citizens Medical Center. During her time there, Kim worked in the Medical-Surgical Unit, Emergency Room, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Quality/Risk Management, and the Wound Care Center. She also held multiple leadership roles, overseeing nursing specialty units, coordinating trauma services, representing the hospital on the regional advisory council, and partnering with physicians to develop best practices for chronic disease management.

In 2010, Kim transitioned into the legal field, serving as a Clinical Nurse Consultant for a law office. For more than a decade, she applied her extensive medical knowledge to assist attorneys with case reviews to identify potential medical liability concerns.

She returned to healthcare leadership in 2021 as the Quality Management and Infection Control Director for PAM Specialty Hospital of Victoria North. In this role, she worked closely with employees, physicians, and administrators to uphold safety, quality, and infection control standards. Under her guidance, PAM North achieved successful Joint Commission (JCAHO) and CLIA surveys, reflecting her commitment to high-quality patient care.

In November 2024, Kim joined the Victoria County Public Health Department as Assistant Director. In this position, she draws on her clinical expertise and leadership background to oversee daily operations, manage approximately 20 state and federal grants, and support 10 divisions focused on delivering essential public health services to the community.
